When You’re Tired But Still Want to Heal

Jun 24, 2025

Sis, let’s be real.

Some days, it takes everything just to get out of bed. The healing journey is beautiful, yes—but it’s also exhausting. Not just in your heart, but in your bones. Your mind is heavy, your spirit feels worn, and you’re trying to show up for a life you’re still learning how to rebuild.

And yet—you’re here. Reading this. Breathing. Hoping. That means you haven’t given up.

That is healing.

Healing Isn’t Always Loud

It’s not always journaling, crying, praying, or deep breakthroughs.
Sometimes it’s:

  • Washing your face.

  • Drinking the water.

  • Saying, “I’ll try again tomorrow.”

  • Getting out of bed at 10 a.m. instead of noon.

  • Watching a sermon while folding laundry.

  • Smiling at your reflection—even when it feels fake.

You Can Heal Softly

On the days you’re worn out, you don’t have to hustle your healing.
Try this:

  1. Turn on music that comforts you (soft gospel, R&B, lo-fi).

  2. Open your window—let the air remind you you’re still alive.

  3. Stretch your body—move the pain out slowly.

  4. Talk to God—even if it’s just, “I’m here.”

  5. Do one small thing for future you—like making your bed, replying to an email, or cooking a meal.

These small acts? They stack—and one day, you’ll look back and see a woman who rose gently and consistently.

Give Yourself Grace

You don’t need to heal perfectly. You just need to keep showing up with softness. It’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to rest. But remember this: you are not broken. You’re rebuilding.

So today, take it slow. Light a candle. Hold your own hand. You’re doing more than enough.
