Fighting for Your Life Every Day: Why You Can’t Give Up Now

Jun 20, 2025

Some days, the fight is invisible.

It’s not in a courtroom or a hospital. It’s not in front of a crowd or written in the news.
It’s the fight to get out of bed. The fight to believe in your future. The fight to see yourself as worthy—again.

And if that’s where you are right now, Sis—I see you. I’ve been there. And I want to tell you something that may just save your life:

Don’t stop fighting.

Because You've Already Survived So Much

You’ve survived heartbreak.
You’ve buried loved ones.
You’ve walked away from toxic love, from people who couldn’t see your worth.
You’ve cried yourself to sleep wondering if it will ever get better.

But you’re still here. And that means something.

Every breath you take is proof that God still has a plan and a purpose for your life.

This Fight Is Spiritual, Not Just Emotional

You’re not just fighting sadness or circumstances—you’re fighting for your purpose. For your calling. For your joy.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10

The enemy wants you numb, discouraged, isolated. But God wants you alive—even if you’re bruised. Even if your faith is shaky. Even if you're limping forward.

This is not the end of your story.

So What Does Fighting for Your Life Look Like?

1. It looks like getting up anyway.

Even when you don’t feel strong. Even when your eyes are puffy from crying. Even if your steps are slow—get up. Make your bed. Wash your face. Feed your soul.

2. It looks like choosing faith over fear.

Even if all you can whisper is “God, help me”—that’s still a prayer. That’s still a fight.

3. It looks like showing up for yourself.

Do the little things that remind you that you matter. Light a candle. Put on lipstick. Read a devotional. Speak life over your day.

4. It looks like getting honest with God.

Tell Him you’re tired. Tell Him you’re mad. Tell Him your heart feels broken. He can handle your truth, and He heals with love, not shame.

Your Purpose Didn’t Die With Your Pain

There is still life in your story.
There is still power in your voice.
There is still joy to be found—even after the storm.

Maybe your purpose isn’t to be perfect.
Maybe your purpose is to be real, to heal out loud, and to help another sister find her way back to herself.

The Fight Is Worth It

You are not fighting alone.

You’re part of a tribe of women who’ve been through fire—and came out with grace, grit, and glory.

So fight with your prayers.
Fight with your softness.
Fight with your boundaries.
Fight with your journaling, your worship music, your quiet moments with God.

Fight because your life is worth it.
