Designing a Life You Want to Wake Up To
Jul 11, 2025
You know that feeling when you wake up and instantly dread the day ahead?
I’ve been there.
Heartbroken.
Stuck in survival mode.
Going through the motions, but deep down knowing—this can’t be it.
Reinvention starts when you stop settling. It begins the moment you realize you don’t just have to live life—you get to design it.
For a while, I felt like my life had been decided for me. After divorce, loss, and some of the hardest detours I’ve ever faced, I was waking up in someone else’s version of life—a version that no longer fit the woman I was becoming.
I had to rebuild. But I didn’t want just any life.
I wanted one I was excited to wake up to.
Here’s how I started designing a life I actually wanted:
1. I Got Clear on My Core Desires
What makes you feel most alive? For me, it was writing, speaking, helping women rise. It wasn’t about money or status—it was about waking up to purpose.
π‘Try this: Ask yourself, “What do I want my mornings to feel like?” Start designing around that feeling.
2. I Gave Myself Permission to Start Over
You’re allowed to pivot. To reinvent. To say, “This no longer fits me.”
I let go of outdated roles and expectations and began dreaming again—from a new place of power.
π‘ Try this: Write a permission slip to yourself. “I give myself permission to heal, dream, and build again.”
3. I Built Routines Around Who I Was Becoming
My morning journaling became sacred. I made space for God, creativity, and beauty. I started showing up for that version of me—the one who had hope again.
π‘ Try this: Choose one habit that supports your next level—maybe it’s journaling, walking, or curating your wardrobe.
4. I Aligned My Identity With My Vision
I stopped waiting to “feel ready.” I started dressing like the woman I wanted to become. I styled my days like I mattered. Because I do. And so do you.
π‘ Try this: Create a vision board that reflects your Light + Dark Feminine archetypes and your reinvention era.
5. I Let Go of What Wasn’t Aligned
Some people, habits, and environments had to go. Letting go was hard—but freedom felt better.
π‘ Try this: Make a list of what no longer serves you—and begin releasing, one step at a time.
You Are the Architect of Your Comeback
This isn’t just about a glow-up—it’s about rising with intention.
It’s about designing a life that feels like you again.
A life rooted in joy, not just survival.
You deserve to wake up excited.
You deserve to look in the mirror and say, “She’s back.”
Because baby—you are.
